Lane Huerta got the inspiration to found Lovelane Designs by watching her daughter play pretend in their kitchen. She wanted to create graphic, classic play clothes for children that would inherently inspire them to create new adventures, while holding up under all the excitement childhood has to offer.

Lane’s designs are made to be inherently creative, but to also inspire creativity by being worn however a child desires. Having a certain outfit for play also encourages children to be more creative and live life to the fullest.

This is why Lane’s parents are her heroes. They supported her artistic dream by encouraging her to be creative and live life to the fullest. This encouraged Lane to see Southern culture as her family, both related and non.

Southerners enjoy helping each other and supporting each other, which means that purchasing goods from local producers is important, and that’s exactly what Lane does. All of her materials are purchased from United State’s producers; the clothing designs are handprinted in her Savannah, GA design studio, and the products are hand sewn by women from her local community.

Lane loves to be the community support others need, too. She supports several local charities throughout the year and often donates Lovelane clothing to schools and other organizations, including an auction that helped fundraise up to $18,000 for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Lane knows that she can rely on her community to help her when she needs them. That ability to get up and push on no matter the obstacle is grit.
